This IS fascinating. That dime would be the equivalent of $2.10, or something like that, today. No way you could this this much of this kind of eats for $2.10 anywhere I can think of today.

Fascinating! What was the average wages for a worker back then, for comparison?

The more I think about it, the more I find that nearly all the non-chain breakfast places, delis, and bagel shops around me in the south SF Bay Area are all owned and run by Asian immigrants as well. Seems to be a continuing American tradition!
